A young Robert L. Tiehen joins Skelly Oil Company in Richardson County, Nebraska as a clerk and lease operator.
1945
Robert helps Skelly Oil drill and develop the booming oil strikes in Southern Oklahoma, West Texas, Gulf Coast and Midcontinent.
1965
A.R. follows his father, Robert, to the oil fields on a work-over rig in Duncan, OK.
1974
A.R. Tiehen graduates from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum Engineering
1980
The oil & gas industry is booming in Oklahoma. Robert joins A.R. in oil/gas partnership.
1986
Wentworth Operating Company is acquired.
2008
Mitchell Tiehen begins work at Wentworth in the field operations department of Southeast Oklahoma.
2022
Wentworth continues to grow in oil & gas production, keeping the family tradition alive and well.
